2 Died In Two Hospitals In The Capital: This Is What The Health Minister Said

Health Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen has made a statement regarding the death of a young man named Rahib Reza while undergoing treatment in the ICU at LabAid Hospital in the capital and the death of a child Ahnaf Tahmin Aiham while undergoing circumcision at the JS Diagnostic and Medical Checkup Center in Malibag.

Dr. Samant Lal Sen expressed deep sorrow over the incident at Malibagh Chowdhurypara JS Diagnostic and Medical Check-Up Center. He stated that a similar incident had been observed a few days earlier, and appropriate measures had been taken. However, the Health Minister stressed that any further negligence or carelessness on the part of anyone will not be tolerated.

In response to the incident involving the young man at Lab Aid Hospital, the Minister directed an investigation. He informed that a team from the Health Directorate had been sent to conduct an inquiry at the hospital. The Health Directorate's team is expected to submit its report tomorrow (February 22). Based on the report, further action will be taken.

Dr. Samant Lal Sen stated that if anyone is found guilty, strict action will be taken not only against the hospital or clinic but also against those who were negligent. He emphasized the need to take all necessary steps to ensure that no other institution dares to be negligent in the future. He further mentioned that if any negligence is found in the treatment, action will be taken against the doctors as well.
