In Malaysia, three foreign nationals, including a Bangladeshi citizen, have been killed in a gunfight with the police. According to a report on BERNAMA and Star Online, the incident occurred in the early hours of March 11th in Jalan Pekan-Kuantan, Kuantan, Pahang State, Malaysia, where three foreign robbers were killed in a shootout with the police. Among them was a Bangladeshi citizen.

The police suspect their involvement with the Sentro Gang in several gold shop robberies and thefts in the country. The suspects, aged between 34 and 44, included two Vietnamese nationals and one Bangladeshi citizen aged 38, whose identities have not been disclosed by the police.

On Tuesday, at a press conference held at the Pahang Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK), Datuk Seri Idris Yahaya, the Pahang police chief, stated that the suspects were riding in a Proton Waja type car, which was later seized, along with a Glock-17 type pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.

Additionally, other items used in theft were found, including two machete blades.

Furthermore, the police have identified a group of three foreign nationals involved in thefts and robberies at several gold shops since June last year in Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Perak, and Pahang. The criminals often targeted gold shops during holidays and were involved in violence such as attacking and robbing bystanders.

On Monday, a joint operation was launched by the Selangor and Pahang Crime Investigation Departments. They identified a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Pekan District Development Board in Pekan around 11 pm.

Before the vehicle could be stopped, the suspects rammed into a police car and fired several rounds of shots from inside the car. The police returned fire in self-defense. The suspects had plans to commit a crime in the Pekan area, according to the police's assumption.
