Bangladeshi Youth Kidnapped In Serbia, 4 Detained

A Bangladeshi youth was kidnapped in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is learned that the 21-year-old youth was forced into a car by four people on the evening of March 23 and took him to a house in Belgrade, reports Telegraf.

The kidnappers then tortured and abused the Bangladeshi youth, inflicting a serious bodily injury on him.  

Later, they demanded €40,000 ransom for his release from his parents and relatives.

Meanwhile, Serbian police, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, arrested the kidnappers and rescued the youth.

Among the arrestees, one was a Bangladeshi, an Indian, a Pakistani, and a Serbian.

The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours, after which they were brought before the competent prosecutor’s office along with a criminal complaint.
