Ahead of the G20 summit, temporary shelters for low-income people in Delhi have been demolished. Many families have lost their last place of shelter. Meanwhile, India's Narendra Modi government says it is part of its regular operations, even though the eviction drive was carried out before the G20. New Delhi conducted 49 eviction drives from April 1 to July 27. According to the information given to the Parliament in July, 230 acres of land have been taken over by the government.
