Artwork depicting rural Bengali life and the history and traditions of the country are being created on the busiest flyover in Dhaka's Mohakhali area.
In December of last year, in collaboration with Berger Paints Bangladesh, street art began on the Mohakhali Flyover in Dhaka under the initiative of Dhaka North City Corporation.
By March, this work will be completed throughout the entire flyover.
Incorporating elements of the Bengali language, rural fairs, dolls, birds, Baul singers, and various motifs, images of rickshaws and buses have been painted on the flyover in Mohakhali.
Apart from these, various slogans such as 'Save Trees, Save Lives', 'No Honking', 'If our country survives, we will survive well' are written within the artwork to raise awareness among people passing underneath the flyover.
From in front of Rawa Convention Center in Mohakhali to Amtali Signal, all the 14 poles will be decorated in colors.
