Haji Selim Returns Home

Awami League MP Haji Selim, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison in a corruption case, has returned home. He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, at 12:15 pm on Thursday (May 5).

Selim's personal assistant Mohiuddin Belal confirmed the information.

He said Haji Selim got off at the airport in a microbus and went to his area. There is talk of his participation in a janaza.

Earlier on Saturday (April 30) afternoon, Haji Selim went to Bangkok through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. He was accompanied by his protocol officer Sohail, medical assistant Mohammad Ali and personal assistant Mohiuddin Belal. They all go to the airport in a car.

The Awami League MP left the country after being convicted in the high court, sparking a storm of criticism. Many also expressed doubts about his return to the country.
