Quader for Completing Bangabandhu Tunnel Project Soon

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today instructed the authorities concerned to complete the works of the ongoing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel, which is being constructed beneath the Karnaphuli River in Chattogram, as soon as possible, reports BSS.

He made the instruction at a view-exchange meeting with officials of the Bridge Division and Bangladesh Bridge Authority at Setu Bhaban here.

The bridges minister also asked the Bridge Division to complete its other ongoing projects without any delay.

Quader, also the Awami League general secretary, informed that about 87 percent work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel has already been completed.

Chaired by Bridge Division Secretary Md Monjur Hossain, the meeting was attended by senior officials of the Bridge Division and Bangladesh Bridge Authority.
