On Saturday morning, visiting delegation of the European Union (EU) met the leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
The meeting started at 9am at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office.
The six-member EU delegation is going to talk about the next national election slated for January next year.
The party is likely to reiterate its position that it would not take part in the parliamentary polls if it is not held under a non-party interim administration, sources said earlier.
The BNP will also give details of the last two general elections held in 2014 and 2018.
The visiting election exploratory mission will also hold meetings with the ruling Awami League, Jatiya Party and several other political parties later in the day.
