Due to simultaneous events being hosted in the capital on Tuesday by the ruling Awami League and the opposition BNP, Dhaka residents have been dealing with severe traffic congestion.

The "Peace and Development Procession" event has been planned by the Awami League, while a nationwide march seeking the resignation of the government has been organized by the BNP and its affiliated political parties.

From the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, the South Awami League of Dhaka will lead a parade that would end at Dhanmondi 32.

Obaidul Quader, the general secretary of the Awami League, is anticipated to take part in this activity.

In contrast, the BNP will hold a march at several locations throughout the city from morning to afternoon. It will begin in Gabtali and end at the Raisaheb Bazar crossroads at 4 o'clock.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the secretary general of the BNP, is taking part in the demonstration.

The march has already caused traffic gridlock in the Gabtali region, forcing commuters to walk to their destinations.

Ahmed Saklayeen Romel, a student, urged political parties to hold protest events on weekends or during holidays to lessen traffic congestion.

We suffer as a result of traffic congestion, he remarked. Ordinary students have regular lessons and exams, and skipping them because of protests might have serious consequences.

Rakib Sheikh, a bus driver, stated to the Dhaka Tribune: "Today (Tuesday), there will be traffic congestion from the morning until the afternoon. Processions prevent buses from moving about easily. There are already huge traffic delays in Dhaka.

at contrast, law enforcement personnel were seen at a number of significant areas connected to the BNP march and the Awami League event.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) stated that an adequate number of policemen have been deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.

Meanwhile, traffic movement has been halted for hours in the Mirpur 10, and 11, as hundreds of people took to the roads in protest of a company's scam.
