Security forces will take action for any public trouble: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that both the parties including the ruling Awami League and BNP parties have to accept the conditions to hold a rally on the road.

He said this at a press conference organized at the secretariat on Thursday (July 27) on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking to be held on July 30.

The Home Minister said that there is no hindrance from the government in carrying out the programs of politicians and political parties. They should follow the rules. I will call for them to abide by the laws of the country and not to create any public suffering. They should not engage in any destructive activities.

He said, if they cross the prescribed rules and try to create public suffering or damage property or stand against the people somewhere with destroying peace and order, would be responsible themselves. 

The Home Minister also said that we do request the big two parties to boycott the road. 

We still do not know who will gather where. We were saying to do it in the field. If they have difficulties, we will consider them later, he said in reply to another question.

Meanwhile BNP announced to hold their rally on Friday in front Nayapaltan’s Party office. To the contrary three organizations of Awami League will hold a rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram. In this regard, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, 'for both parties few conditions are being given including what and how to perform peacefully. 

Home Minister said, the law enforcing agencies are being controlled by by the police commissioner. So he will throw decision what to do.
