Khaleda's Condition Not Suitable for Discharge: Doctor

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been under "close observation" of doctors in a cabin at Evercare Hospital for the last 26 days, her personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, said today.

"Doctors are also checking and monitoring her on a daily basis," he told the media.

Zahid said her condition was not suitable for discharge from the hospital. It is also uncertain how long she will need hospitalization.

He said she was hospitalized on August 9 for medical tests, and since then, a medical team has been conducting her health checkup regularly.
