BNP To Announce Fresh Programs Today

BNP is going to announce fresh programs with a one-point demand for the resignation of the government. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will announce the programs at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Monday (September 18) afternoon.

It is known that the election schedule might be announced in November. And the national election is scheduled to be held in the first week of January next year. However, the BNP wants to achieve the goal of their movement in the resignation of the current government and the formation of a non-partisan caretaker government before the announcement of the election schedule. For this purpose, the party is going to start a 15-day program this week. After that, the party can give a new program in the first week of October.

It is known that the program of this phase will start next Tuesday with a big rally in Keraniganj, Dhaka. After that, three rallies will be held in the capital Dhaka and Narayanganj. In the meantime, four road marches can be organized in the southern and eastern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, BNP's three organizations Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechasebak Dal started the youth’s road march from Rangpur to energize the disenfranchised youth on Saturday (September 16). On this day, the secretary general of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “The road march that started outside Dhaka demanding the resignation of the government will end with the resignation of the government”.

On the first day, the road march started in front of the BNP office at the Grand Hotel intersection in Rangpur and ended at Dinajpur via Syedpur Doshmile from Rangpur.

On the second day of the program, Sunday (September 17), the road march starts from Bogura town and goes to Rajshahi via Naogaon. Juba Dal, Swechasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists as well as local BNP leaders also participated in it. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present as the chief guest in the program.
