AL, BNP To Hold 'Counter' Programs

After the BNP announced 15-day-long programs, this time the ruling party Awami League has announced counter programs. These programs will be held inside and outside Dhaka.

Awami League’s joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif confirmed this to the journalists after a meeting at the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi the capital on Tuesday (September 19) at 12 pm.

He said that on September 23 Awami League will hold a rally on the initiative of Dhaka North and South Awami League on the south gate of Baitul Mukarram. On September 25 at 2:30 PM, the Metropolitan North Awami League will hold a rally at Uttara and the Metropolitan South Awami League will hold a rally at Jatrabari. A rally will be held in Keraniganj on September 26.

Gazipur Metropolitan Awami League will hold a rally in Tongi on September 27. On the same day, the Metropolitan North Awami League will hold a rally at Kafrul, Mirpur, Dhaka. Eid-E-Miladunnabi and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday is on September 28 and; On this day, prayers will be celebrated all over the country.

A discussion meeting will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on September 29. On 30th September at 2.30 pm, a farmers' rally will be held in the capital under the initiative of the Krishak League. Besides, it has been informed that a rally will be held on the initiative of the Local Awami League in Mirsrai, Chattogram on October 4.

Meanwhile, the continuous program of BNP for the resignation of the government is starting today Tuesday (September 19). The programs will continue till October 3. On the first day of the program, BNP held a rally in Jinjira-Keraniganj in Dhaka and Gazipur district on Tuesday.

Among them, Mirza Abbas and Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, members of the party's standing committee, will attend the Keraniganj rally as guests. Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury will attend the rally in Tongi.

Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the program at a press conference at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Monday (September 18) afternoon.
