AL, BNP To Hold Rallies In Dhaka Today

The ruling Awami League and their arch-political rival, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), are scheduled to hold four rallies across Dhaka on Monday. These rallies are planned for the afternoon and will take place in Uttara, Jatrbari, Dholaikhal, and Aminbazar.

The BNP has announced that its Dhaka city south unit will hold a rally in Dholaikhal, located in Old Dhaka, at 3:00 p.m. They are demanding the government's resignation and the establishment of a neutral government. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the secretary-general of the BNP, will address the rally as the chief guest. Additionally, the BNP's Dhaka district unit will hold a rally near Chisti Filing Station in Aminbazar at 2:30 p.m., echoing similar demands.

Meanwhile, the Awami League's Dhaka city north unit plans to hold a peace and development rally in Azampur, situated in Uttara, at 2:00 pm. Obaidul Quader, the general secretary of the Awami League, will participate in the rally as the chief guest. Additionally, the Awami League's Dhaka city south unit intends to hold a rally on Shaheed Faruk Road in Jatrabari.
