Khaleda Zia's brother Shamim Iskandar has once again applied to the Home Ministry to allow BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia to seek better treatment abroad.

This application was made to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal last Monday (September 25). Law Minister Anisul Haque said yesterday Thursday (28 September) that the application has gone to the Ministry of Law through the Ministry of Home Affairs and the decision will be announced soon.

Law Minister Anisul Haque said, "The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent an application to the Law Ministry seeking permission to take Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment. Khaleda Zia's brother's application will be scrutinized and decided soon.

Earlier, on September 5, a petition of the Ministry of Home Affairs also mentioned the issue of better treatment to former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital. The BNP Chairperson was admitted to the hospital on August 9. Earlier, he came to this hospital on June 12. At that time, he had to stay under close observation of doctors for five days.

78-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from arthritis, diabetes, kidney and liver complications and heart disease for a long time.
