BNP's General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the ruling Awami League government does not want to see BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia alive.

He complained that Khaleda Zia was sent to an abandoned prison without any crime and an attempt was made to push her to near death by deliberate wrong treatment. It is only natural that a government that wants the death of a national leader will unjustly obstruct his good will. But this attitude and behavior of the government is not acceptable to the countrymen. And so if any harm is done to the beloved leader of the people by depriving her of the opportunities she deserves, the government will surely suffer intense public anger.

Mirza Fakhrul said these things in a press conference at 11:30 am on Wednesday (October 11). In the press conference, he highlighted the decisions taken in the regular weekly meeting of the National Standing Committee of BNP held on October 9.

Meanwhile, Mirza Fakhrul criticized the Prime Minister's speech about Khaleda Zia. He said that one of the many proofs that the current government, which seized power without a vote, does not want to see the country leader Begum Khaleda Zia alive is the Prime Minister's desire to "throw the country leader into the Padma water" and recently "She is 80 years old, she will go." , What is there to cry so much?” Speech like that is not acceptable from the Head of the government of any country.

Fakhrul said that BNP's leaders, activists, members and supporters at all levels including the people of the country were disturbed by the statement given by her doctors at the press conference about Khaleda Zia's illness. The National Standing Committee of the party gave importance to the opinion of the specialist doctors and strongly demanded the government to remove the inhuman obstacles imposed on the way to any country where the national leader can be treated immediately to save the life of the country's leader.
