BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that this government is not the elected government of the people. They cannot be called government, they are rulers. You will see the evidence in their words; BNP is a party, which is the largest political party. Three times in power—they declared, BNP is our enemy. That is, they do not believe in democracy. If they believe in democracy, they cannot call any political party as enemy.

He said this at a symbolic mass fast in Nayapaltan on Saturday (October 14) to demand the treatment of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia abroad. Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP organized this program.

He said that it has been proved time and again that they do not believe in democracy. They do not believe in the rule of law. Yesterday, they arrested two student leaders of Narsingdi in a commando manner, in complete violation of the law.

Fakhrul said, once again, they are very happy to say. It is called political humor later! Basically everything is done again. Why do you say this repeatedly? That's why nothing actually happened. The democratic world of the whole world is calling today to step down from power and to hold a fair and free election.

Referring to the release of national leader Begum Khaleda Zia and the release of democracy, BNP Secretary General said, we have to build the Durbar movement in the coming days.

He said, there is puja ahead, we have always said, we believe in a completely peaceful secular system. We don't want them to take advantage of that movement to create that problem again. Already seen. A peaceful protest march by the Hindu Buddhist Christian Welfare Front in Comilla yesterday was interrupted by the police, then interrupted and injured by Awami League terrorists.
