New Political Party Makes Its First Public Appearance In Chattogram

A new political party called Pragotishil Gonotantrik Forum (Progressive Democratic Forum) has made its first public appearance in Chattogram. Today, Sunday (October 15), the organization officially made its first appearance at the Chattogram Press Club.

Former leader of Chattogram North District BNP and VP of Chattogram University Central Student Union (CUCSU) Nazim Uddin is the chairman of the party, GS Azim Uddin, who was elected from Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, is the general secretary.

In the Chattogram University Students' Union (CHAKSU) elections held in 1990, Nazim Uddin won the post of VP from Jatiya Chhatra League and Azim Uddin won the post of GS from Samajtantrik Chhatra Front.

After that, Nazim became actively involved in BNP politics. He was the Vice-President of Chattogram North District BNP's previous committee.

He has not been placed on any post in the present convening committee. Although not in office, he was active in various programs of the party. According to BNP sources, he was not seen in any party program for the last 6 months.
