The Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP) grand rally scheduled for October 28, which is part of their "one point movement" aimed at removing the government, will take place at Nayapaltan, according to the party's Senior Joint Secretary General, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Despite the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's request for the BNP to consider two alternative locations for the rally, the BNP has confirmed that all preparations have been made for Nayapaltan, making it the only viable option.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police had suggested alternative venues for the grand rally, and the BNP responded to this request, as stated by Rizvi on Thursday.

The BNP had initially sought permission to hold a significant rally as part of their "one point movement" to challenge the government in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, on October 28.

Additionally, the DMP sent a follow-up letter seeking specific details about the rally, including the number of participants, the timing of the event, and other event-related particulars, which was confirmed by Golam Ruhani, the assistant commissioner of the Motijheel zone.

Furthermore, the DMP asked for information regarding two alternative locations in case holding the rally at Nayapaltan poses public safety risks. This letter was directed to Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP, as reported by Md Salahuddin, OC of Paltan police station.
