Jamaat-E-Islami is starting the work of making a temporary stage on the minitruck for holding the rally on Arambagh road. Today, Saturday (October 28) around 11:30 am, the team started building the stage in four minitrucks. Earlier, after 10 am, the work of setting up the mic started.

The Jamaat had announced to hold a mass meeting at Shapla Chattar in Motijheel. However, there was no written permission to hold the mass meeting. After that, the leaders and activists of the party started gathering in Motijheel area from Saturday morning.

In such a situation, a three-member delegation led by Jamaat's central leader Mubarak Hossain entered the Arambagh Al Helal police box for discussion after 11 o'clock. There they sat in a meeting with DMP Joint Commissioner Liton Kumar Saha.

After a while, Mubarak Hossain came out and said that the police asked us to change our place. At the same time he said to avoid chaos. We are not messing around. We will rally, I told them. And the police said they will inform us.

After he came out, the construction of Jamaat stage started in Arambagh. Earlier, Jamaat activists claimed that they had received verbal permission from the police. Claiming this, they started the work of installing microphones on electric poles in the middle of the road.

Earlier, around 9 am, more than half a hundred leaders and activists of the party gathered on the south side of the Shapla square. Meanwhile, the police barricaded the main road. Thousands of Jamaat activists took position on one side of the barricade.
