The second day of the latest 48-hour countrywide blockade, called by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), and its allies in the ongoing movement to press home their one-point demand, was underway on Monday (November 27) morning.

The blockade started at 6:00am on Sunday and it will come to an end at 6:00am on Tuesday.

With this, the BNP and some other opposition parties have been observing seven round of blockades since October 31.

Law enforcers were seen patrolling the streets and remained deployed at several important points of Dhaka, after Awami League on Sunday announced names of its 298 candidates for 300 seats in the upcoming parliamentary election.

Vehicles of media outlets, ambulances and vehicles transporting oxygen cylinders and medicines will remain out of the purview of the blockade.

As of filing this report, miscreants set three buses on fire at a gas refueling station in Natore.
