Death threats to GM Quader, GD Filed

Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has received death threats against his family. It has been alleged that this threat was made to prevent him from the 12th National Assembly elections.

In this regard, on behalf of GM Quader, his personal assistant Abdul Hannan made a general diary (GD) at the capital's Uttara Paschim police station. GDT was done on 14th December last.

Abdul Hannan himself confirmed the matter in the media. He said that an anonymous person sent a message on Sir's (GM Quader's) number and threatened to withdraw his participation from the election. It has been said that if he does not withdraw from the upcoming elections, he and his family may be killed abroad. Sir, I believe in the law. So he instructed me to register the matter in the police station.

According to the GD, a message was sent from an unknown person's phone number +351****** to Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of Opposition Ghulam Mohammad Quader MP's phone number 01611****** on 13th December 2023 at 4:30 PM. Threats were made to the Honorable Chairman to desist from participating in the upcoming National Assembly elections to make it success. If the said person does not refrain from participating in the election, his family and relatives including the honorable chairman will be killed. In this situation, the Jatiya Party Chairman, his family and relatives are suffering from material insecurity.
