Sheikh Hasina In Gopalganj

Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina has paid tributes at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara, Gopalganj.

She paid her respects as the prime minister after reaching Tungipara on Friday (Dec 29) night.

Family members of the Father of the Nation also participated in the offering of tribute and prayer.

Earlier, Sheikh Hasina, accompanied by her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, reached Tungipara by road after the election rally in Barishal.

The Awami League president is scheduled to hold a campaign programme in her constituency, Gopalganj-3, on Saturday.

She will address two election rallies in Tungipara and Kotalipara before noon on Saturday.

After attending the public meeting in Madaripur in the afternoon, she is supposed to return to Dhaka by road.
