Come to The Polling Station Valiantly: Kader

General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that whether there is any involvement of ongoing terrorist activities with call to boycott elections by the BNP needs to be investigated.

He said this at a press briefing in his constituency Noakhali on Saturday (January 6) morning. Besides, he urged the people to come to the polling station without fear and not be confused by the rumors and propaganda of BNP-Jamaat.

Obaidul Quader said, "we observe with deep anger and concern that BNP and their allies have started extensive terrorist activities including sabotage and arson ahead of the January 7 election." 

He also said, yesterday they set fire to the train at Gopi Bagh in Dhaka, killing four people including two children and some were burnt. We do strongly condemn and protest this despicable brutal terrorist activity. BNP-Jamaat evil wants to destroy the country, want to destroy the peaceful environment. They are the defeated power of the seventy-one, the assassins of the seventy-five, they cannot be trusted. They want to do politics by burning people.

Awami League General Secretary said, "according to Canada's federal judgment, BNP has once again proved that they are a terrorist organization."

Obaidul Quader said, "BNP has called for vote boycott and they are constantly carrying out anti-election propaganda in front of the election. It should be investigated whether there is any involvement of the ongoing terrorist activities with the boycott of BNP. 

In this time General Secretary of Awami League also said, "there will be peaceful polling in the whole country." 

He said, elections will be free and fair. Foreign observers and journalists who have come will also monitor the election. Today you can see the evidence of the terrorist character of the evil forces that boycotted the elections. They are burning buses, burning trains. We people of Bangladesh know about their terrorist character. We are drawing the attention of foreign observers and journalists to these terrorists. 

He said, they are spreading rumours. Our appeal to the people - don't be fooled by their rumours. Disgustingly reject the campaign to spread election panic. 

In this time he also mentioned regarding the role of law and order and security forces members for the peaceful elections. 

Obaidul Quader said, 'Awami League leaders and activists should be careful, so that BNP cannot sabotage. We are on the verge of victory. Be careful that no one steals the victory. Awami League government will form the government again by people's vote. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina will once again lead Bangladesh towards Smart Bangladesh as Prime Minister. We will win with huge votes inshallah.
