Efforts will be intensified to repatriate individuals convicted by various courts in Bangladesh, including Tarique Rahman, the acting Chairman of the BNP, affirmed Law Minister Anisul Huq. The minister made this statement while responding to queries from journalists at the Akhaura railway station in Brahmanbaria on January 26.

Anisul Huq, who represents the Brahmanbaria-4 (Kasba-Akhaura) Constituency in the parliament, is slated to participate in various events in Brahmanbaria today and tomorrow.

Regarding the letter from 12 American senators urging the Prime Minister to cease the alleged harassment of Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the minister stated, "Based on my examination of the case documents, the trial has adhered to legal provisions. I refrain from making further comments because those convicted in this case will likely appeal, and I do not wish to exert any influence in that process."

The gathering at the Akhaura railway station included Law Secretary Golam Sarwar, Akhaura Upazila Awami League President Md Ali Chowdhury, General Secretary Takzil Khalifa, and other party leaders and activists.
