BNP's Mirza Fakhrul, Amir Khosru Released Fom Jail After 3.5 Months

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party's standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury were released on bail three and a half months after their arrest.

These two leaders were released from the Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on Thursday (15 February) around 3:30 pm.

11 cases were filed against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in connection with the clashes and violence on and after October 28. Earlier he got bail in 10 cases. The court granted his bail yesterday in the case of an attack on the residence of the Chief Justice.

On the other hand, 10 cases were filed against Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. Earlier he got bail in 9 cases. Yesterday he also got bail in the case of an attack on the residence of the Chief Justice.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir got bail in a case last January 17 in Paltan Police Station of the capital.

Earlier on January 10, Mirza Fakhrul got bail in 9 cases from the CMM court in Dhaka.

After being arrested on October 29, Mirza Fakhrul was in jail for three and a half months from that day.

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was arrested in a case related to the clash between the party's leaders and workers with the police around the BNP's general meeting in Dhaka on October 28.

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was arrested on the night of November 2 in the case of the murder of a policeman.
