Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, said that the country's invading forces have taken away all the rights of the people, including the freedom of expression, in the same manner as the Pakistani invading forces. They introduced a monarchy.

He said that the strength of our freedom is hidden in the self-sacrifice of the students of Dhaka University in the Mother Language Movement on February 21, 1952. The spirit of fifty-two surrounds us all.

He said these things in response to reporters' questions after visiting the graves of language martyrs and paying tribute by paying flowers at Azimpur in the capital on Wednesday morning (February 21).

Maulana Shah Mohammad Nesharul Haque, former convener of the Ulama party, led a special prayer for the souls of language martyrs.

Later, Rizvi along with the leaders and activists placed wreaths on behalf of BNP at the central Shaheed Minar altar.
