Rakib's Hat-Trick Blows Away Scotland

Bangladesh Under-19 team took a major step towards the ICC Under-19 World Cup quarter-finals defeating Scotland by seven-wicket in their second Group C match today in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

Rakibul Islam hit a hat-trick and finished with 4-20 to help the junior Tigers bundle Scotland out in 30.3 overs for a paltry 89 after they were asked to bowl first.

In response, the Bangladesh boys looked fragile at 35-3 inside five overs but they were taken to 91-3 in 16.4 overs by an unbeaten 56-run stand for the fourth wicket between Mahmudul Hasan Joy (35) and Towhid Hridoy (17).

With the win, Bangladesh are currently on top of the group of four teams with two wins in two matches.
