Pakistan clinched a comfortable win in the second game of the three-match Twenty20 series against Bangladesh on Saturday at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, winning the tournament 2-0.

The hosts comfortably chased the 137-run target set by the visiting team, who had won the toss and elected to bat first.

Mohammad Hafeez and Babar Azam, with their 131-run second-wicket partnership led the side to victory.

Hafeez's performance featured a knock of 67, including nine 4s and a 6. On the other hand, Azam, who scored 66, was awarded 'Player of the Match' for his stellar performance which saw him hit seven 4s and a 6.

Earlier, the Pakistani bowlers, attempting to restrict the score as much as possible, managed to bag 6 wickets.

Bangladesh had replaced Mohammad Mithun with Mahedi Hasan, while the Pakistan squad remain unchanged from the first match in the series.

Pakistan have today won the series 2-0 after they overhauled a modest 142-run target in 19.3 overs at the same venue yesterday. Recalled Shoaib Malik had led the team to victory by smashing an undefeated half-century.

The two wins have further consolidated the team's chances of hanging on to its world number one ranking in the shortest format, which is in danger of being taken over by Australia.

The third and final match is at the same venue on Monday.
