Bangladesh got the breakthrough they needed in the second delivery of the morning session on Day Three as Abu Jayed removes Babar Azam for 143. A length ball from Jayed moved away after pitching and Babar plays it awkwardly enough to edge it through to Mithun at first slip.
Earlier, Centuries from Babar Azam and Shan Masood put Pakistan in the driving seat after the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh yesterday as the hosts stretched their lead to 109 runs with seven wickets still in hand in Rawalpindi.
Abu Jayed had been the most impressive amongst the Tigers' bowlers on day two with two wickets, although tigers were unable to capitalize on the good start on day two. Babar hit 143 at the end of day two while Asad Shafiq was unbeaten on 60.
