Soumya Added to Bangladesh Squad for 3rd ODI

To the Bangladesh team for the series ' third and final ODI against Zimbabwe, all-rounder Soumya Sarker has been named.

The left batsman enters a team that appears largely unchanged from the first two matches. In the match, Bangladesh has an unassailable 2-0 advantage after the 169-run and 4-run record victories.

Soumya Sarkar initially opted himself out of the Zimbabwe series due to his wedding ceremony.

The presence of the batsman is seen as Mushfiqur Rahim's substitute, who once again chose not to tour Pakistan in April for one-off ODI and second Test in Karachi.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said on Tuesday that they would be fielding a squad against Zimbabwe for the third ODI which could play the one-off ODI against Pakistan.

Since Mushfiqur Rahim won't play the Pakistan ODI and Match, there is a good chance he won't play against Zimbabwe in the third ODI, which is being played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
