Bangladesh Win First T20I against Zimbabwe by 48 Runs

Bangladeshi cricket team won their first twenty international (T20I) in Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National cricket stadium against visiting Zimbabwe by 48 runs on Monday.

Bangladesh recorded 200 for three in their 20 overs against Zimbabwe in the first innings.

Zimbabwe was wrapped up by 152 runs in 19 overs while chasing the big target of 201 to win.

Earlier, Tigers’ openers Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das scored 41 off 33 balls and 59 off 39 balls respectively.

Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 62 off 32 balls and 17 off 8 balls respectively.

Earlier, Zimbabwe's captain Sean Williams won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Bangladesh won the previous 3-match one-day international 3-0, and the one-off test series innings and 106 runs.
