Messi Is Not a ‘Forbidden Dream’ for Inter

With Lionel Messi's dissatisfaction with the Barcelona Board and the reality that he has yet to extend his deal with the Catalans, former president of Nerazzurri, Massimo Moratti, has stated that the signing of the Argentine will not be a forbidden dream for Inter Milan.

Messi's deal with Barcelona lasts until 2021, although there is an exit provision in his current agreement that will enable him to depart at the end of the 2019-20 season, with attention attributed once again to Manchester City and Inter.

Moratti, who once drew Ronaldo to Milan from Barcelona, claims that there is an outside possibility that Messi will be spoken about joining the everlasting competitor Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A.

"Messi is at the end of his contract and it would certainly be attempted to bring him home. I don't know if this situation will change anything, but I think we will see strange things at the end of the year."

Inter's Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez has been heavily linked with Barcelona and Moratti said: "He is a very good lad, he cares about his career, but as I said before, we have to see if it's part of an operation for bigger players like Messi."
