Former Bangladesh opener Javed Omar on Tuesday denied any wrongdoing after International Cricket Council reportedly asked the Bangladesh Cricket Board not to engage him in its future events for suspicious activities.

Javed acted as the manager of Bangladesh women's team in recent series, including the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in October.

It was alleged that he passed on team information, prompting the ICC to request the BCB not to include the former player in any further ICC events, reports Cricbuzz, a leading cricket website.

Cricbuzz reports that Javed's movements were under constant scrutiny by the ICC officials and after gathering enough evidence against him, it has urged the BCB to exclude him.

Javed played 40 Tests and 59 ODIs during his career and was known for his patience and sound technique.
