Cricketers to Restart Individual Training from August 8

The players are set to restart the individual training session under a special agreement created by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on 8 August, as several more cricketers, including Test Type Captain Mominul Haque, will enter the practice to get rid of the rust.

It's going to be challenging to manage such a big number of cricketers, but the BCB is able to do it smoothly, said Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan.

"The individual training will start as the first step and the safety plan will remain the same," Akram told the BSS.

"Many other players have shown interest in having an individual training session. It's going to be challenging to accommodate such a huge number of cricketers, but the BCB is optimistic. We 're trying to plan so that everybody can perform individually and comfortably," he added.

“There is nothing to be worried about a safe environment because you know we have already shown zero tolerance about players’ safety.”

With cricketers making their way back to international cricket, the BCB has also scheduled community practice sessions, which Mushfiqur Rahim said would not be troublesome as the Sher-e - Bangla National Cricket Stadium atmosphere is secure and healthy.

"We 're going to talk about it. We've got to continue group rehearsal at some stage, but we're not taking any chances in this regard. When we're trying to consider the world

Akram Khan, also a former Bangladeshi skipper, said the fringe players could also take advantage of individual training facilities such as Mushfiqur Rahim and others.

"Those who are willing to train individually can apply to us. The BCB would certainly provide the equipment for them to practice, "he added.

Earlier, in the first process, a total of 14 players enrolled in the study, which was carried out in compliance with the normal safety policy on the dimension of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result of the players' involvement in outdoor exercise, the BCB initiated a push on July 19 with nine players who started to practice individually at four locations – Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna and Chattogram.

The board then attached Rajshahi to the list on which Nazmul Hossain Shanto started his service. Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, Shafiul Islam, Imrul Kayes, Taskin Ahmed and Mehedi Hasan Rana selected Sher-e - Bangla National Cricket Stadium to play. Later they are accompanied by Anamul Haque Bijoy.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mahedi Hasan and Nurul Hasan Sohan trained at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, Nasum Ahmed and Syed Khaled Ahmed practiced at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium while Nayeem Hasan trained at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

The BCB was initially reluctant to prepare a roadmap for individual training due to the players’ health issue in aspect of the spread of the deadly virus despite the fact some of the other cricketing nations already began it in their respective countries.

But after a simulated meeting with 35 participants, the board agreed to launch an individual training session, essentially adorned with a workout exercise. The bowlers didn't get a chance to bowl because they were content with only playing and doing the workout. The batsmen were, however, granted the chance to play, albeit at the bowling machine indoor facilities.
