Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar received a two-match ban Wednesday for his role in the melee versus Marseille, and the French league (LFP) has launched an investigation into racism accusations made by the Brazilian against Alvaro Gonzalez.
Neymar also received an additional suspended one-match ban after being disciplined for slapping Gonzalez in the back of the head during an added-time brawl on Saturday that saw five players sent off.
Neymar said post-match that Gonzalez called him a "monkey," adding the match official ignored the issue when addressed during the Ligue 1 holders' 1-0 defeat.
PSG's Layvin Kurzawa has been banned six matches for kicking Marseille's Jordan Amavi, while midfielder Leandro Paredes was slapped with the same sentence as Neymar.
Amavi got a three-match suspension for his involvement in the fracas, and Marseille teammate Dario Benedetto received a one-game ban.
PSG playmaker Angel Di Maria will appear before the league's disciplinary commission on Sept. 23 following claims the Argentine spat at Gonzalez following the incident with Neymar.
