Chennai Register 1st Victory in IPL 2020

Dhoni-led Chennai won the first match of the IPL 2020. Chennai beat Mumbai by five wickets with precious innings from Ambati Rayadu (72) and Faf du Plessis (58).

Arch-rivals began proceedings in the high-octane curtain-raiser as MS Dhoni returned to competitive cricket after 14 months, reports Republicworld.com.

The match began with the Mumbai Indians (MI) fighting the opening in the Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2020 against the Chennai Super Kings at Sheik Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

CSK Captain MS Dhoni won the toss and picked the field first. The 13th edition of the IPL has been moved out of India due to increasing coronavirus cases in the region. Dhoni, who declared his retirement from international cricket in August, is back in action after 14 months of hiatus.
