Shakib in Quarantine

After spending time with family, world-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has returned home from the United States. He returned to the country on Wednesday (August 25) morning. At the end of the holiday, Shakib went straight back to the hotel from the airport to join the preparations for the New Zealand series. There he will join the team in practice after a three-day quarantine.

The cricketers of the national team have already entered the bio bubble ahead of the series. New Zealand cricketers are also in the bio bubble. Everyone is currently in a three-day quarantine.

Though the corona test of the national team cricketers was done earlier, the corona test of Shakib was done at night. If the test is negative, Shakib will get a chance to play against New Zealand.

Earlier, New Zealand cricketer Finn Allen tested positive for corona while in Bangladesh. He came to Bangladesh directly after playing The Hundred Tournament in England.

He was accompanied by another black cap cricketer, Colin D Grandhome. His result was negative.

The five-match T20 series will start from September 1. The two teams are scheduled to start training from the Aug 27.
