Tigers captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to bat first in the Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe T20 World Cup 2022 match at the Gabba, Brisbane.

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are familiar foes, but this is the first time both teams are taking on each other in a World Cup match. Zimbabwe won their last match against Pakistan by only a run. On the other hand, Bangladesh lost their last match to South Africa by a big margin, reports UNB.

Bangladesh made one change to their playing XI—replacing Mehidy Hasan Miraz with Yasir Ali. Zimbabwe also made a change. They brought in Tendai Chatara, overlooking Luke Jongwe.

Bangladesh XI: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Afif Hossain, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan (w), Mosaddek Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed

Zimbabwe XI: Wesley Madhevere, Craig Ervine (c), Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Regis Chakabva (w), Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Richard Ngarava, Brad Evans, Blessing Muzarabani

Batting first has a better record at the Gabba, so tigers captain Shakib Al Hasan chose to field second in this Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe T20 World Cup 2022 match.
