In a bid to avoid a whitewash, Bangladesh will bowl first in the third and final ODI against Afghanistan at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chattogram today, reports BSS.

Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and decided to bat first.

Star spinner Rashid Khan was rested, giving Bangladesh an opportunity to restore some pride. The legspinner was wrecker-in-chief as Bangladesh lost the rain-hit first ODI by 17 runs and second one by 142 runs, which was their biggest ever defeat at the hands of Afghanistan.

After losing an ODI series for the first time against Afghanistan, Bangladesh made three changes to the side with fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam, making their way in the place of Mustafizur Rahman, Ebadot Hossain and Hasan Mahmud.

Apart from Rashid Khan, Afghanistan also excluded fast bowler Saleem Safi from the squad and brought in pacer Abdur Rahman and left-arm spinner Zai-ur-Rehman replaced them, both are on their debut.
