Today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the Bangladesh women's team completed an incredible victory by defeating India in the third and final T20I by a margin of four wickets.

It was a historic occasion as Bangladesh defeated India for the first time since the Asia Cup final in 2018 despite the series ending 2-1 in India's favor.

With six wickets in hand, Bangladesh needed just 18 in the final four overs. However, Bangladesh once again experienced the shock of losing wickets in back-to-back deliveries.

Sultana Khatun (11) fell to Devika Vaidya, slapping one to fielder at cover and next delivery, Shamima Sultana, batting well on 42, was run out.

Despite the setback, Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni held their nerves to give Bangladesh the win with 10 deliveries to spare.

Nahida hit a no-ball almost to the boundary and got three runs before she capitalised on the free hit to pick up a boundary in the 18th over. Ritu Moni then got the winning runs in the 19th over.

Batting first, India posted 102 for nine.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur top-scored with a 41-ball 40 and had help from Jemimah Rodrigues, who managed a 26-ball 28.

Bangladesh leg-spinner Rabeya Khan picked up three wickets, while off-spinner Sultana Khatun scalped two.

In reply, Opener Shamima Sultana top-scored for Bangladesh with a 46-ball 42.
