In today's Emerging Asia Cup semifinal, Bangladesh A will face powerful India A and is aiming for a successful day in the day-night match in Colombo. After defeating Pakistan A by eight wickets to go to the semifinals, India A's selector Habibul Bashar told reporters that they were expecting for a favorable day to defeat India's challenge.

Bangladesh had a team that was strengthened by openers, with Soumya Sarkar batting in the middle of the order. The team management made the decision that younger stars who may play well in the World Cup would be considered for the roster.

"We are very hopeful but India are a good side. It's a semifinal after all and you need a good day. Everyone has played good cricket but it's important to repeat that. Their batting and bowling are very good," Bashar said yesterday.

Even though the club administration is in favor of seeing how the hitters perform, the bowling side will be the main focus. While individuals like Tazim Sakib or Ripon Mondol are being given opportunities for the future, Soumya and Sheikh Mahedi may benefit more immediately from this opportunity as the national team seeks for backups.
