Messi Magic Lifts Inter Miami to Leagues Cup Title

After the score remained tied at one after regulation, Inter Miami and Lionel Messi defeated Nashville 10-9 on penalties to win the Leagues Cup final on Saturday.

Fafa Picault equalized for Nashville in the second half after Messi had given Miami the lead in the 24th minute with a spectacular shot into the top corner.

The game went to a shootout after Miami's Leonardo Campana missed a last-second opportunity to win the game in regulation. The shootout culminated in a duel between the two goalkeepers, with Drake Callender saving Elliot Panicco's effort.
