India to Face Pakistan in Super 4 Match Today

India and Pakistan will lock horns today (September 10) in the Super Four match. Like the group stage, there is a fear of rain in the Super Four. The match will start in Colombo at 3:30 p.m. Bangladesh time.

There is a fear of rain in Premadasa like Pallekal. 90 percent forecast for rain with thunder in Colombo. Kohli-Babar and Afridi-Bumrah duo can be moved on reserve day. India's first match in the Super Four Pakistan, however, beat Bangladesh and kept one foot on the road to the finals.

Meanwhile, today's match is very important for India and Pakistan. A win today will keep India in the race for the final. On the other hand, Pakistan can be said to be the first team to secure the final by winning the match.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam said, The way we are playing consistent cricket in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, you can say that we are ahead of them (India).

Babar also explained why Pakistan is ahead. According to him, 'We have been playing in Sri Lanka for the last two months. We have played Tests, an ODI series against Afghanistan, and also played in the Lankan Premier League. Considering that, we are ahead.'

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill said, 'Rain is not in our hands. We are focusing on ourselves. Pakistan will have the same plan as other teams.' 

It is to be noted that in the group stage match, India and Pakistan met at Pallekele Stadium in Sri Lanka. Rain, however, won that match. Batting first, India collected 262 runs. Pakistan did not get a chance to respond. The entire match was washed away by the rain. As a result, the match is tied.
