England have set a target of 365 runs with nine wickets down for Bangladesh in the 7th match of the ICC ODI World Cup. This feat was achieved primarily due to Dawid Malan's impressive score of 140 runs from 107 deliveries, Joe Root's contribution of 82 runs from 68 balls, and Jonny Bairstow's 52 runs from 59 balls.

In this match, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and chose to field at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. England's opening batsmen were Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan.

Initially, England's openers displayed caution, but as time progressed, they began hitting boundaries consistently. Malan reached his half-century in 39 balls with a single off the third ball of Shakib's over. The partnership between Malan and Bairstow yielded 115 runs for the opening wicket. Bairstow completed his fifty shortly after Malan, again with Shakib as the bowler, by securing two runs from the final ball of the 16th over.

Shakib was the one to break the Bangladesh camp's desperate need for wickets when he bowled Bairstow for 52 runs. Following that, Malan continued to lead the team's charge alongside Joe Root.

Malan faced 91 balls to achieve his fourth ODI century, while Joe Root also reached his half-century, doing so in 44 balls by hitting a four off Shoriful.

After reaching his century, Malan adopted a more aggressive approach, consistently dispatching balls to the boundary. It appeared that he was heading towards a double century, but Mahedi Hasan thwarted his efforts.

In the 38th over, Mahedi deceived Malan and bowled him out. Nonetheless, Malan had already played a destructive innings of 140 runs off 107 balls. Following his dismissal, Buttler was unable to make a significant impact, scoring only 20 runs before being dismissed by Shoriful when England's score stood at 296 runs in 39.4 overs.

England lost their final six wickets, namely Joe Root (82), Liam Livingstone (0), Harry Brook (20), Sam Curran (11), Adil Rashid (11), and Chris Woakes (14), managing to add only 68 runs to their total.

In terms of bowling performance for Bangladesh, Sheikh Mahedi took 4 wickets for 71 runs, Shoriful Islam secured 3 wickets for 75 runs, Shakib Al Hasan claimed 1 wicket for 52 runs, and Taskin Ahmed contributed 1 wicket for 38 runs.
