Team Bangladesh came to Dhaka with happy memories of Sylhet Test. Before taking the field in Mirpur, the Tigers were standing in front of a great history. Najmul Hossain Shanta and co. made history only when New Zealand was defeated in the Dhaka Test.

Bersik rains became an obstacle in the way of making history in Bangladesh. The two teams spent the first day of the Dhaka Test with a dark cloud over their heads. However, the second day was washed out due to rain. The game was played on the third day. Where the Kiwis were narrowly held back by the Tigers.

In the new dream of the fourth day of the Dhaka Test, the Bangladesh team saw a batting disaster. Because of that, the chances of winning the series against the Kiwis have weakened for the hosts. The Blackcaps pulled off fighting victory in the second session of the fourth day.

New Zealand left the ground with a 4-wicket victory chasing the target set by the Tigers at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Shanto and Co. have to be satisfied with the draw in the series 1-1.

After winning the toss Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto opted to bat first and were bowled out for 172. In reply, New Zealand scored 180 runs.

But Bangladesh failed to put enough total in the second innings and got dismissed for only 144 runs and set a 137-run target for New Zealand. Chasing the target NZ reduced to 69-6. From here, Glenn Phillips 40* and Mitchell Santner 35* left the field after conforming victory for the visiting team.
