Shoaib Malik Leaves BPL Due To Personal Reasons

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik of Fortune Barishal flew to Dubai after the Dhaka phase of the 10th BPL (Bangladesh Premier League). He was scheduled to join the team before the start of the Sylhet phase. However, it is now learned that Shoaib Malik will not play anymore in the 10th edition of this domestic tournament.

Fortune Barishal owner Mizanur Rahman confirmed this on Thursday (January 25).

Shoaib Malik went to Dubai for family reasons. It is known that he left Dhaka for Dubai on Tuesday. The former Pakistan all-rounder informed the Barisal authorities about his “family troubles” while going there.

Another Pakistani Ahmed Shehzad is joining the team on Friday instead of Shoaib. Apart from this, the Caribbean Kyle Mayers will also join the team soon.

Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik has been discussing the issue of divorce with Sania Mirza and third marriage with Sana Javed for several days. He announced the third marriage just before Fortune Barishal’s first match in the 10th BPL. He has suffered from run drought amid various discussions and criticisms.

Shoaib Malik scored 29 runs with the bat in 3 matches in Barishal’s jersey this season. After 17 runs in the first match, 5 and 7 runs came from his bat in the next two matches. Apart from this, he took one wicket in three matches with the ball.
