Mustafiz Sustains A Head Injury

During practice, Cumilla Victorians’ Mustafizur Rahman sustained a head injury after being hit by a straight drive from Caribbean cricketer Matthew Ford. Mustafizur immediately fell to the ground, with visible signs of blood. An ambulance quickly transported him to Imperial Hospital for medical attention.

The incident took place during a practice session at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Sunday (February 18). Media Manager Khan Nayan of Comilla confirmed the injury to Rahman, stating that he was struck on the head. He was seen lying on the field, though the extent of his injuries wasn't immediately clear.

Upon receiving primary medical treatment at Imperial Hospital, Cumilla's team management provided an update on Mustafizur's condition. Despite the external injury, there were no internal complications. Currently, he is under strict observation as part of Cumilla's physiotherapy team. Additionally, stitches were administered to his wound.

It is worth mentioning that the Cumilla Victorians will face the Sylhet Sixers in the first match of the upcoming match on Monday (February 19). It is almost certain that Mustafizur will not be available for the match tomorrow.
