Hathurusingha Praises Mahmudullah Riyad's Resurgence

Chandika Hathurusingha, the cricket coach of Bangladesh for his second term since January last year, witnessed Mahmudullah Riyad's sudden exclusion from the team after the series against England at home.

Despite his absence from immediate opportunities, the veteran cricketer diligently worked on his fitness and skills before making a comeback to the national team, just in time for the World Cup.

Riyad has since showcased his form not only in ODIs but also in T20 matches, proving his value to the team.

Hathurusingha, who has faced scrutiny over Riyad's inclusion in the team, commended the player during a recent event in Sylhet. Ahead of the third and final T20 of the series, Hathurusingha noted Riyad's newfound freedom and experience on the field.

He expressed admiration for Riyad's performances in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), highlighting his comfort and confidence during the World Cup.
