Rishad Hossain's explosive innings of 48 runs from just 18 deliveries propelled Bangladesh to a decisive four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the third ODI at Chattogram's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium today.
As the match approached a tense climax and Mehedi Hasan Miraz fell in the 37th over, Rishad stepped up to the plate, alleviating any concerns with a remarkable display.
His innings, which included five boundaries and four maximums, all off Wanindu Hasaranga's bowling, ensured Bangladesh secured the win with a comfortable 58 balls remaining.
Mushfiqur Rahim, with an unbeaten 37 off 36 balls, sealed the victory with a boundary. With this triumph, Bangladesh clinched the ODI series 2-1, marking only their second-ever series win over Sri Lanka.
